Gewurztraminer is our heritage signature wine! A unique Germanic favorite, and served in New Ulm for traditional festivals celebrating our local roots. Gewurz is released annually during Morgan Creek Vineyards' German Winefest where Gewurz and Zeitgeist are the feature wines for the season. Gewurztraminer is the grape varietal that is characterized by its "spicy" bite with a delicate exotic fruit aroma. It serves beautifully with any pork entree, Asian food, as is often recommended with turkey - to sweeten and spice up the bland flavors of the holiday poultry.

A good choice with pork, ham, hasenphefer, sauerbraten, and German cuisine. Serves well with gruyere cheese, Danish brie, camembert, or Black Diamond cheddar.

WINE MAKER'S NOTES

The juice for this wine is purchased from the Columbia Gorge AVA Region of Oregon. The wine is made at Morgan Creek Vineyards specifically for the annual German Winefest and is served at New Ulm's Annual Bavarian Blast.
