Sweet E is a dessert wine made in an ice wine style from the Frontenac Gris grape developed by the University of Minnesota. Frontenace Gris is a gray grape and produces a amber-colored juice. Sweet E is a delicate dessert wine with hints of peach, citrus, and tropical fruit aromatics. Sweet E was originally named Sweet Bliss, but is now marketed under the name Sweet E. Same wine - same great flavor profile!
Among its accolades:
Sliver - San Francisco Wines Women Want;
Silver for "Best Label";
Minnesota State Fair Blue Ribbon Winner;
Mid-American Wine Competition, Sliver
Sweet E is a favorite with cheesecake, apple pie & ice cream, and serves surprisingly well with fresh lemon torte. It likes the berry pairings rather than chocolates.
