Enjoy our spring and summer wines served at the traditional Welsch Eisteddfod poetry competition held under the "wisdom oak" tree at the base of the vineyard lawn The competition winner wins accolades of the crowd and is traditionally seated as the bard in a ceremony taken from ancient times. The oak chair is a beautiful 18th Century hand-carved chair crafted by Adam Marti and is given as the trophy to the winning poet.
Sunday June 27
Pot Luck Dinner serving at 12:00 pm followed by celtic music performances of Amy Kortum.
Poetry Competition begins at 2:00 pm followed by the Charing of the Bard ceremony where the winning poet is officially seated in the traditional oak chair. The winner is awarded the hand carved oak chair as the grand prize for the competition. The chair is one of a kind and designed, hand carved, and donated by wood worker, Adam Marti.
